Akash’s solo photo exhibition in Dhaka Friday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A fourteen-day solo photography exhibition of promising photographer GMB Akash will begin at the Alliance Française in Dhaka on Friday.

Norwegian Ambassador Ingedjorg Stofring will inaugurate the exhibition titled ‘Survivors’ organized by Alliance Française, Dhaka, organizers said.

Akash who obtained bachelor degree in Photojournalism from Pathshala, Dhaka, received more than 35 international awards from all around the world and his works have been featured in over 50 major international publications.

He won the 7th Vevey International Photography Grant from Switzerland in 2009.

In 2004 he received the Young Reporters Award from the Scope Photo Festival in Paris, again being the first Bangladeshi to receive the honor.
